“They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share.” I Timothy 6:18
Restore-Renew-Share is also moving into another phase. We will be contacting our friends and neighbors and encouraging them to help us meet our goal of $300,000. In addition, we will be creating new committees, one to receive bids and oversee the actual projects, one to oversee the refurbishing of the parish house, and the third to look into ways to finance the work that may be done before the giving portion of the campaign is complete.

Songs of the Faithful: Discovering Identity will be the focus of the Bible series for our bi-weekly gatherings that will meet next on May 23 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. in the Living Room.
Everyone is invited to join us as we gather for early morning greetings, a light breakfast, Bible readings, and lively discussions.

Adult Forum and Bethesda Youth: Jaime Myers-McPhail will lead a discussion about Universal Health Care in CT

Bethesda Youth: Confirmation Youth and Youth will be making music with Lars in the chapel.

As of May 10, $817.06 has been received for ELCA World Hunger from God’s Global Barnyard initiative at Bethesda. Imagine how heavy those barnyard boxes were! Thanks for all who donated!
We are currently accepting donations for red geraniums to decorate the altar on Pentecost Sunday. If you would like to make a contribution, the suggested amount per plant is $5. Envelopes are in the Narthex for your convenience. These geraniums will later be planted on Bethesda’s grounds by volunteers.

Music Sunday on June 3 will feature Gabriel Fauré's beautiful Requiem and other choral works. Bethesda's choir will be joined by soloists and chamber orchestra for a concert at 4pm. The choir will share selections from the program during the morning service. The Bethesda Music Series will welcome contributions towards our growing ministry. We have a proud tradition of featuring great music and supporting local social outreach. Your gift to the series makes it possible to put on these concerts for our extended community.
